Ingredients

  • 3 medium sized beetroot grated

  • 600 ml full cream milk

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tsp ghee

  • ½ tsp cardamom powder

  • Cashew and almonds chopped

Notes

Heat the ghee in a pan and add the grated beetroot. Cook beetroot for few minutes in ghee so that the earthy smell of beetroot reduces. Now add milk and cardamom powder to it and let it boil on high flame. Once the milk boils, turn the flame to medium and let it cook till the milk is reduced to ¼ , now add the dry fruits and keep cooking it. Once all the milk is evaporated add sugar and keep stirring it till you get a halwa consistency. Easy and healthy beetroot halwa is ready, you can enjoy it in vrat.
